David Rutta, M.D., has been providing residents of the Scranton region with gastroenterology care for over twenty-five years.
A Scranton native, Dr. Rutta has practiced gastroenterology in Scranton since 1988. He has been a member of the Gastrointestinal Consultants of Northeastern Pennsylvania (NE PA) since 1999.
Dr. Rutta earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Temple University, and then his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine.
Upon completion of his medical degree, Dr. Rutta went to Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York, where he did his residency training in internal medicine.
Dr. Rutta then completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Baltimore City Hospital, now known as John Hopkins’ Bayview Medical Center.
Dr. Rutta is married with six children.
