
Christopher A. Barbarevech, M.D., has practiced gastroenterology in the Scranton region for over fifteen years.
Born in Scranton, Dr. Barbarevech graduated cum laude from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and philosophy. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.
He completed his gastroenterology training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he was the Alfred W. Dubbs Fellow in gastroenterology. While at Jefferson, Dr. Barbarevech earned the House Staff Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Barbarevech is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and the Delaware Valley Society of Gastroenterology.
He is married with two daughters.
